Why do I love animals? (inquiry/ASPIRE)

I’ve liked animals for as long as I can remember. So for my inquiry I decided I should find out where this love came from. So my project became: Why do I love animals?

Using the answers I got from interviewing mum I set to work at finding some similarities me and mum have regarding animals. Here is what I came up with.

Mum Me

Save water lots and don’t  buy any products with Palm Oil in them.

Beliefs regarding animals:
Fantails in the house means there’s been or will be a death in the family

Make sure we don’t buy any products containing palm nuts or palm oil as well as buying dolphin friendly tuna.

Here is some other reasons why mum loves animals:

  • “Dad would sit down and watch documentaries with me”
  • Having an animal in the house helps to keep the house relaxed
  • “I had  a horse, dog and a duck as a kid”
  • “I encountered many dangerous animals in the wild including sea snakes, sharks and manta rays ” I saw all of these at the same place as well!”
  • ” Iv’e always had a pet in or around the house and so have you”

So from the data I have now collected I have uncovered the answer to my big question: Why do I love animals? and that is mum has always had animals involved in her life causing mum to want to introduce me to animals. And whilst I am told that I have a natural liking of animals I believe mum played an important roll in encouraging and nurturing my love of animals.

This is an example of a few of the many products that contain palm oil.
